2020 ‘Gyeongsangbuk-do Startup Innovation Award’ Picture

On the 18th, Gyeongsangbuk-do awarded the 'Gyeongsangbuk-do Startup Innovation Award' to the 9 excellent venture and start-up companies that contributed to the development of the local economy.

The criteria for commendation for [Gyeongsangbuk-do Startup Innovation Awards] are as follows. It must be a company that has generated net income for two years and has grown by 10% or more. Also, a company with strong growth potential was selected based on technology development performance and exports, the quantitative evaluation score of sales growth, performance, export share, and scores of judges were comprehensively evaluated with the annual recommendation of city, county, and company-related organizations.

Provincial Governor Lee Chang-woo said, “It was a year that I was particularly grateful for local venture start-ups that made efforts to enhance the competitiveness of companies and develop the local economy through steady technological development even in difficult economic conditions. In such a situation, ventures and startups can play a key role in revitalizing the local economy, and we will continue to make efforts to make Gyeongsangbuk-do province a good place for business in the future.”

Awarded Ventures/startups were provided benefits such as preferential support for venture business development funds (300 million won), R&D priority support, participation in overseas fairs, etc. All priority is given to the up-front benefits.
